Holiday plan

One week until my long-awaited holiday.

As updated by Mama, they’ll be coming down to Penang and pick me on Thursday. But before that, they’ll be going to KL to pick Ipah in PJ and staying there for a night. I can choose to go to KL as soon as I finish Embedded MicroP paper on Tuesday, knowing that I have so much to do in KL after so long haven’t been there – shopping for cards for example, and looking for a twin of Haris in Midvalley – since I have been missing my toy so much and he’s too busy traveling Europe and probably has forgotten me by now *sob* so… I am getting another toy-but I won’t send him as a ToyVoyager this time.. but should be the one who will keep me company wherever I go. And to be with me whenever I am alone.. just like Haris used to when he was here. OK, and I may want to meet Az, but we have agreed not to meet each other for now.. coz we want it to be more surprising later.. hmm  it does make sense for the time being, but I am not sure after a few months. Anyway, not that  I’m in hurry. And back to holiday plan, well yeah, it’s going to be cuti-cuti Malaysia this time, we’ll be in Penang and maybe Bukit Tambun for a few days, so funny now coz I’ve been claiming I am in Penang since 5 months ago but only after end of one semester, I finally manage to see and visit Penang properly. So kesian. I am looking forward to see Bukit Bendera and send out some postcards from Penang to everyone. And most importantly….. I’M MISSING HOME!!!!!! And my bed.. and my mails.. T___T I can’t remember if I had ever been away from home this long.. almost 2 months.. hmm.. do I count correct?.. coz it feels like 2 years…

Can you believe it? Do you even know to locate Macedonia on the world map? Or at least Europe map? LOL. And with the fact that not every Postcrosser is lucky enough to even have a postcard from there.. but Haris IS there right now! After a few days traveling from Finland, his new host in Skopje is my adorable Ana!

No picture yet. And I can’t wait!! :))

The Good, The Bad, and The Ignorant Fan

Face it. I have been living under the rock for past couple of years. I just discovered about Damon Albarn’s project with The Good, The Bad and The Queen album in 2007.. only last week!! :( Where was I in 2007??

tgtbatq

Well, blame on Blur for having been silent since Think Tank in 2003.. leaving me soulless with no new tunes of “my type” to digest for ages.. hmm I have been listening alot to Spanish and French and Bosnian these years, especially La Oreja de Van Gogh as another great music band I can get speechlessly amazed by and have memorized the songs even though I don’t understand a thing in Spanish. And last year I just had to listen everything hit on the radio, I liked some songs here and there, but nothing really special when you speak of a particular artiste.. well, One Republic is rather something, then again I can’t already be satisfied with only one album to label them as a great band.

Back to Blur… or rather, this TGTBATQ album was only Damon’s project with 3 other dudes I hardly know.. well, another non-Blur project after Gorillaz, but whatever it is, his music is one that can INSTANTLY be accepted to my ears even before I start listening :)) And this The Good, The Bad and The Queen album.. I knew I would love it!! So please excuse me, I just need the WHOLE songs in the album on repeat mode these days.

And another good news which is from well, not too long ago (so I don’t feel too late here).. Graham is back on track!! And Blur, with Graham, will probably have a new album sometime this year. Oh please be quick, I really really missed you guys!!!!!!!!! XD

An update.. or maybe not

Early morning.

Just had breakfast. Nasi lemak.

Drinking Turkish Apple Tea.

So.. not really an update, but I have to write something here anyway. It’s so tragic to know the only thing updated nowadays is my postcards collection.. and nothing else really, so whether you like it or not, I’ve only been working on the postcards blog 1000 times more than here.. meaning, Postcrossing-wise, I am alive and kicking. But here in my real life, I am nothing… well, unmotivated, liveless, unprogressing, boring, bored.. though whatever adjective can’t picture the reality I am living now. For sure, it isn’t too exciting. I feel lousy even to type this post to describe my so called life.

I have picked up writing letters with Postcrossers and some new pals, I don’t know why but at the moment I just need to get to know and talk to as many people as I can, I haven’t been writing for ages, well.. these years I still had Nada and Sonia and.. well, that’s all. And recently Matina in Greece – whom I wrote letters 10 years ago, found me back on Facebook, and that made me realize how I missed all this letters exchange from old school days.. and the same way I found Claire in France, another pal during those ancient time. It was a really exciting reunion and “How have you been doing these YEARS??” kind of messages, and she asked me if I already had a husband and children.. haha. Not funny. And I started writing with people on the forum.. many of them now! It’s really exciting to start this long-forgotten craze again.. I missed LETTERS!! And by adopting letter writing, I have come to send less postcards. Well, okay, not really. I still just had over 20 postcards in the mail the other day.

I don’t like to talk about the Postgrad studies yet. Not until I know where on earth I’ll be placed by God next.. I am MORE than tired to think about future anymore, let alone plan. So don’t ask me, those kind of questions, why are you going back to uni, and what are you going to do after graduation, blablabla… all those planned things are bullshit. At least to me, okay. Give me a chance to look at it myself first, then I’ll let you know. I have called UKM, they’re processing the applications in May, so I may get an answer in a few weeks. I haven’t called USM though, but unlike UKM, I already got their reply card so at least I know they’re processing as well.. hmm. But according to the academic calendar, the current semester ends in July.

Hmm what else. There’s this young lady named Fynn Jamal – she calls herself a poet. I have been following her writing since months but only came across her videos the other day.. GOSH what have I been doing??? I can’t recall the last time I loved a local tune which made me listening many times repeatedly, since Butterfingers – but it’s like 6 years back already. And I am now overwhelmingly in LOVE with Fynn Jamal!! She is really someone to be appreciated for her art, I should have known her much much earlier, gone to watch her performance, etc.. but I am sorry, I can’t remember what kind of sappy life I was living for past few years. And I have learned that she was studying in UIA as well. Finally it’s great to know there’s really someone from UIA who knows how to rock! :) There’s a performance called Hari Bintang Jatuh end of this month which I’m absolutely going if I were in KL. But I am not in KL, then again it’s not too impossible to make a trip for something really awesome. But I have to get someone to buy a ticket for me next week, coz they’ll be selling at one place, one day only. And which someone to ask… hmm..

And my last note for today, I am quite impressed to know some people whom I least expect to care about what the hell is going with me, really do. It’s really sweet. And it’s funny, too :) HAHAHAHAHAHA.

End of multi-topics update for today.. hmm.. it’s still not really an update I think…

Ceylon tea

tea

This is NOT a postcard! :D

I was so cheeky at the tea shop somewhere in Cameron Highlands last time, as they had tiny packs of assorted teas with various flavors, which I can’t get from normal supermarkets here. I mean, in supermarkets.. yes they have this BOH Songket tea but each flavor sold in a box of 25 teabags, while my main interest is only to taste each and every flavor, and I have been looking for exactly packaging like this Ceylon tea, with yay- many different flavors I can go crazily experimenting their taste! :D Well, Ceylon tea is from Sri Lanka, obviously, and I’m just in love with its taste.. I have tried strawberry (strong!), blueberry (nice!), melon (very nice!) and now…. ummmm… guess what I am having? ;)

Mango tea! Hmm.. wait *slurrpp* ahhh.. it tastes like, well, mango of course :P I mean, it’s not really strong, just a nice mango sense and I love this warm feeling it gives me in this quiet evening :)

Until my next tea flavor review!
