Postcrossing

I am gonna make a confession here. I’ve been hooked to this postcards exchange projects named Postcrossing. When I first joined last October, I didn’t really pay much attention on it. I got to send a postcards to 5 people, and it took me ages to finally put the postcards into the mailbox. Just that. But a few weeks later, I started getting some postcards from ’strangers’ in far away countries like USA, Germany and Netherlands. It got me excited and I knew that I would spend more time on this new hobby: exchanging and collecting postcards one bonus point: many of the postcrossers are total friendly and I just enjoy the forum. In fact, I’ve never been an active user in ANY online forum before, as long as I can remember. But Postcrossing community is just different. It feels like I’ve just found the place where people there, more or less, share the similar passion with me. And it’s just great.Last night I wrote to Sonia. I’m gonna buy a Xmas card for her tomorrow, well yeah I have to buy some to other people also. I guess I have to make a list this year:
1-Christy
2-Sonia
3-Kelly
4-Allison
5-Sarah
6-Verbi
7-Claire
8-Kadi
9-Andrea
10-Anais

I am supposed to write to Allison, Tejashree and Claire one of these days too. Haven’t got time though. And I have to buy some souvenir to Anais which I promised long time ago ^_^; can’t think of what I’m gonna get her, maybe a songket purse like I bought in KB, if I can find any in the Central Market here.

I still have to buy postcards for people at Postcrossing. Again a list?
1-Marybell in USA (MY-118)
2-Carmen in Spain (private swap)
3-Anette in Germany (thank you postcard)
4-Tina in USA (thank you postcard)
5-A boy in Uzbekistan I cant remember the name (private swap)

I have to find a small Malaysian flag for Sonia. Maybe a small sticker with the picture is ok too. And a tom yam seasoning packet. I’m teaching her to prepare Malay food now I have to buy some CD-R too. OMG I don’t have enough money at the moment. Bought Discrete Maths textbook this afternoon. Wicked RM75.

I’m still waiting for random postcard to arrive now. And there’s supposed to be postcard from someone in Nepal arriving soon. Also from Carmen. I’m expecting letters from Nada, Carlien, Eri and Sarah also. But I just received a bad news from Irfah at home: it’s been flooded at home area now, and the most awaited Mr. Postman will never come these days

Mama is in KL now for a meeting. Stanford (?) Hotel near Chow Kit. Great. I’m going there tomorrow with Izzati. Maybe overnight there. Must be cool.

I’m still having a problem with the color and themes and layout and stuffs for this blog page. It seems easy but it is not. I feel like changing everything into plain white now. Ugh.

  • I hate blogging

Yes, I really do. Still have no clue why these people are blogging, and yet I am doing this, too. In fact this is my *counting* 3rd or 4th blog, beginning with one at mydiary.org, Blurty, a self-made website calling itself a blog, and now bravenet journal. The previous ones have always gone without updates, besides of my tendency to delete the posts a few days after I read them again. Why? Because I never agree with this thing. Why do I have to write this? Why do I have to let people read the crappy tales they’ll never be interested about? Hang on, I am not letting people take a look at this blog. Not for this time around. This doesn’t seem like a good idea. But why am I here again? Alright, I was just passing by one Guestmap of a member at Postcrossing, which happened to be one of the feature of Bravenet, which I found quite cool, which got me hooked in there a few hours browsing, and ended up registering. Lucky, I have got my name ilyani for my Bravenet. Is this a good sign?
